I have desperately been trying to keep an open mind about the movement, but the more I’ve seen of how that movement acts I just can’t in good conscience root for it. I thank all the people who were willing to give me a second chance and send me links to positive things the movement is trying to do... but ultimately the whole genesis of the movement seems to be to harass women OUT of the gaming industry, and the mountain of proof piling up is pretty damn damning.
Like I said in my last journal, I do honestly believe there ARE people in the GG community who DO believe 100% in the goals of the group and who are absolutely LOVELY and WONDERFUL people. But the more I see of how the GG movement was started, how they speak to each other, how they plan to attack and target specific individuals... I kinda feel like those wonderful people are being used, or at the very least duped. And that bothers me a lot.
